Good day, and welcome to Faux Finishing, a website that contains anime, manga, and video game desktop wallpapers for a variety of resolution sizes. I hope you'll enjoy browsing through my wallpapers as much as I have enjoyed making them!

The layout features Chii from Chobits with a musical motif. I've changed the width of the current design to hold more wallpapers per line for your viewing pleasure.

This website is a part of Magitek Designs and Magitek.

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone has had a great start to 2006! [Ah, I just know that I'm going to be typing 2005 for accidently countless times this month.] To celebrate the new year, I've revamped Faux Finishing - I've moved it from magitek.nu to magitek-designs so that it can be a proper part of the Magitek Designs Network (it is a graphics site, after all). The site has been redesigned, and the wallpapers are now displayed with more than one wallpaper in each row. There are more ads on this design than the last design - but hey, money's tight and a girl's got to eat her three meals a day, yes? ^_^ There are no new wallpapers yet, because this revamp has taken about six hours today. Hopefully some new wallpapers will be up within the coming days!

Hello there! Faux Finishing has finally arrived at version two! I have used tons of warm pink hues to give a nice feeling using the art of the anime Rizelmine. This is a big change from the cool blues of version one. I hope that you enjoy this design, which I think is far more functional! The simple navigation has been upgrades to a full side bar with all of the wallpaper sections, making it easy to switch from one series to another. I have also added three new wallpapers, two of which are from new sections! New wallpapers are in Abstract, Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Shaiya Light and Darkness!

Only one wallpaper today. That's not like me at all! But anyways, I added a new wallpaper PHP script which will let you view a random wallpaper. Be sure to check it the random wallpapers page! Also, if you hover over top of the disclaimer at the bottom of any page, it will tell you how long it took to generate the page. Like anyone cares about that anyway. That's why it is so discreet.

July 29th 2004:
Seven new wallpapers today! Plus the opening of three new sections: Allegro Agitato (1), Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar (2), and Dengenki Love Machine (1). The three other wallpapers added today are all in the Abstract section.

March 16th 2004:
I went through my harddrive and found all sorts of half finished PSP files of wallpapers, so I completed them and uploaded them here, adding 14 new wallpapers! I also had to add sections for D.N. Angel, Chrono Cross, Chobits, Fruits Basket, Spiral, and Shamanic Princess to hold these. I also added one more link to the about page. =D

March 12th 2004:
Hmm, coding the PHP backbone to the site didn't take as long as I thought it would. About seven hours sitting in front of this baby got it done. I also saved all of the wallpapers and created the thumbnails. However, looking at the gallery now, I realize how much some of the compression sucks cake through a straw. =X So I'll have to recompress them to a lower compression value so that they'll look better. But that's for another day.

March 11th 2004:
The site's layout template structure has been created, and the about page has been written.
